Haha, yeah, locks might slow them down, but it doesn’t mean you get peace The tricks should work to buy you at least a minute or two.

This cracked me up because I regularly experience the same phenomenon. And to make matters worse, once the kids are sleeping, the cats seem determined to take their places, so I can’t even go to the bathroom alone at night

Absolutely true! No bathroom privacy for us and I think it’s going to be that way for a while. Even if I close the door and lock it, my little boy knocks and calls my name endlessly and stops only when I open the door and after seeing me. I’ve got to try those tricks you have! I hope they’ll work well with my little boy.

Maybe cause I am a first time mom, but I don’t really mind not having bathroom privacy. I see pins all the time about going to the bathroom alone, and it really doesn’t bother me.
The funny thing is, when I think about when I am staying at my parents house and getting ready in the bathroom, sometimes my mom or I will close the door while the other is getting ready. So I guess it doesn’t end? lol

Crap…puberty is 10 years away! She has no issues with stomping on Daddy’s privacy too, so having a male doesn’t deter her as of yet. She’s still young though.

Puberty, I’ve found, puts the kibosh to bathroom company. So does having a male figure in the house. When it was just the girls and I, it was no holds barred.

I can confidently and unfortunately report with two teenagers that this is not something they necessarily grow out of…add a Boston Terrier into the mix and I gotta trifecta.
