Taking a touching and beautiful family photo around the holidays can be tricky in any household. You have to everyone home, looking relatively nice, sitting still and with some semblance of the holidays scattered around.
Throw a toddler into that mix and you’re pretty much screwed.
And so this is how we arrived at this for our Christmas card. I truly think it couldn’t be more perfect.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Aww, she looks so precious in the background w/the tree. It IS the perfect picture for a card!!
Crys Wiltshire says
Thank you! She is such a little character, so honestly, it is great to see our family card capture a bit of that.
Julie Maloney says
You’ve gotta get it done anyway you can! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Crys Wiltshire says
Yes, sometimes it’s just a matter of working with that you got Merry Christmas to you as well!

Ha. Ha. That’ll work. Just don’t forget to mail them out. We still have some holiday photo cards from seventeen years ago in the closet. One of these days, I’ll send them.

Getting them out is always the battle! I am notorious for leaving it to the very. last. minute. possible!

Very fun card. Our daughter is the feature of our holiday card each year. I’ve learned that some years, I just have to go with what she’s willing to do. It doesn’t get any better when they are teenagers either.
Crys Wiltshire says
Haha. Yeah I guess the look just morphs from “I would rather be playing with my toys” to “I would rather be anywhere then sitting next to my family”

Cute! I suspect in all toddler-vs-card battles, the toddler wins

Thanks! I think in a battle of toddler-vs-many things, the toddler wins
