An ideal visionary.

I am an apple girl through and through. I am hooked on my iPhone, yet still carry my 120GB classic and just recently let go of my 9 year old iMac….it’s now in well loved hands with my little sister-in-law. If money grew on trees I would also own a MacBook Pro and an iPad, just to cover all my bases :)

That all being said, I am not going to write a long post on Steve Jobs. Honestly, there are a lot more beloved Apple techies who are far more dedicated than I and they will be posting all night, I’m sure.

But in looking back at the life of Steve Jobs, one quote has always stuck with me. Probably because I feel like it was said about me. It was definitely said about people like me. Anyone who knew me growing up knows that misfit suits me well. I never fit in back in my small town and I don’t always easily fit in now. Just how it’s always been, and I am completely ok with that.

So here is the quote, the one that stands up for all the geeky, different odd balls who stand out from the conventional norm. Rock on Steve Jobs! You were an amazing visionary and an unbelievably aware human being.

“Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” ~ Steve Jobs

Oh, I also have to add that as a completely nerdy advertising/marketing junkie, the 1984 Apple Superbowl Commercial rocks my world.
